What to have ready
The form asks for the report type, details of the incident, and a reporter email address (required) so we can follow up. Prepare:
- One main URL for the content or app you are reporting. Related URLs from the same incident are optional.
- The date and time you observed the issue, including the time zone.
- Evidence, such as screenshots or relevant logs, except for child sexual abuse material: never upload files or screenshots of that material.
- Why the content or activity is abusive or infringes rights, with the following details where applicable:
- Phishing: the impersonated brand or organization and where you received or found the link.
- Malware: the file's SHA-256 hash or a VirusTotal report link, if available.
- Network abuse: the source IP, target IP and port, and exact UTC timestamps. Nitroship-hosted functions can share outbound IP addresses, so precise timestamps are essential to identify the responsible function.
- Copyright: where the original work can be found, the rights holder's name, mailing address, and phone number; a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, their agent, or the law; a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the holder of the allegedly infringed exclusive right; and your electronic signature.
